La AAA ha avuto dei contatti intermedi il WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross, poiché la promotion messicana vorrebbe che JR sia il loro commentatore di lingua inglese per quando inizieranno ad andare in onda su El Rey Network il prossimo anno.

Il problema però è che Ross dovrebbe avere una lunga clausola di non esibizione nel suo contratto con la WWE, cosa su cui Vince McMahon avrebbe spinto perché non voleva che JR andasse a commentare in TNA in qualunque momento perlomeno a breve termine.
