The Wrestling Observer Newsletter ha confermato i report sui quattro top match previsti nei piani per SummerSlam 2014, match che a quanto pare sarebbe quasi certi: Stephanie McMahon vs Brie Bella, Bray Wyatt vs Chris Jericho, Randy Orton vs Roman Reigns e Brock Lesnar vs John Cena per il WWE World Heavyweight Title.
A un certo punto era stato discusso anche Daniel Bryan vs Kane in un Buried Alive Match, ma ora come ora ciò appare molto improbabile visto come sta andando il recupero di Bryan dall'infortunio.
